Statement:
This VR piece was exhibited in a pop-up show at Locust Projects and serves as a loose interpretation of the cycle of life. Inspired by the idea of preserving life in amber—much like prehistoric fossils—the work invites viewers into an immersive environment where time feels both suspended and fluid. Inside the virtual space, sap drips slowly from a tree, symbolizing the beginning of life. A dinosaur appears, moving through its life until death, fading into the landscape. At the center of the space, an embryo floats in a softly glowing tube, surrounded by stillness. The piece reflects on the fragility and persistence of life, using digital preservation as a parallel to the natural fossilization process.
