Statement:
“Visions of Tessara” is a collection of digital illustrations printed in varying sizes and framed on the wall. Each illustration was drawn individually on procreate. The different frames used are unique in order to (Unique frames of varying sizes) represent the distinction and diversity between the prints. These images were printed onto large posters so that the details, colors, and lighting are more visible and prominent. The illustrations are based on characters and creatures that exist within the unique fantasy world of Tessara. There is no specific narrative that flows between the illustrations. Instead, Each image is meant to be viewed from a godly perspective and brings emphasis to the points of intense light. This world is set around 100 years after an apocalyptic meteorite crash. Within this society there are six races of intelligent beings that possess magical affinities. There are five types of magic that an individual could be born with. This magic is based off the Blaschko’s lines that exist invisibly on the human skin. Of six types of Blaschko’s lines, five of them are referenced within this world's magic system. Depending on the magic an individual has an affinity for, different patterns are shown on their skin. When magic is used, these markings on the skin glow to reflect that.
